Taking a booking by phone
Number, pick-up, destination, and the driver before you send.
The telephone is still the main channel and the dashboard is built around that: whatever you need in order to answer the customer while they are on the line has to fit on one screen.
- 01You take the phone number: if the customer has rung before, the rest fills itself in.
- 02You put in the pick-up address, then the destination.
- 03If an address matches more than one place, you pick from the results offered.
- 04You choose the driver from those free near the pick-up.
- 05You send the request and wait for them to accept.
Every line of the summary can be corrected where it stands. If you misheard a number you do not have to start again: it is the reason why, the second time it happens, people go back to writing on paper.
Addresses are searched giving priority to your own area, so four words are enough to find a street in your town. It is not a limit: a job out of the county or abroad is entered exactly like any other.
