Nothing for your operation.
Dispatch software, driver app and passenger app. We earn a commission on jobs a driver accepts.
What is included at no cost
Dispatch software
The shift screen, the positions, the tariffs and the history. No licence fee, no charge per seat, no installation.
Driver app
Your drivers get jobs on the phone, with route and amount shown before they accept. You pay nothing to sign them up, whether it is one or a hundred.
Passenger app
Customers request jobs through the UrbanGo app, and your drivers are the ones who do them. No activation cost and no share of downloads.
On the jobs, not on you.
And only on the ones somebody accepts.
Free for your operation does not mean free for everyone: the commission is paid by whoever drives, on the individual job. That is why we do not ask you for a fee, and also why we have no interest in selling you features you would never use.
If the month is slow we earn less too. No contract guarantees that better.
Our commission
The driver pays it, and it comes off their prepaid credit when the job closes. Not at the end of the month and not on an invoice: the credit is already there, and a driver who runs out stops receiving jobs until they top up. It costs your operation nothing, in any case.
Your booking fee
That is a separate thing and it stays yours in full. The driver offers their fare, you decide whether to add your operation’s booking fee. The software counts and shows; it does not set prices.
20% goes into the fare, the same as fuel.
Because the fare is theirs to set.
A driver builds their price out of everything: fuel, wear on the vehicle, insurance and the hours of their own work. Our commission is one line on that list, not a charge that lands afterwards.
That is the difference from the apps. There you pay the commission and the platform sets the price, so it comes out of your margin whether you like it or not. Here you set the price, and you decide whether to absorb it or put it in.
The top-up bonus also carries the risk of no-shows. When a customer does not turn up the commission is still owed, because the work of finding a driver and sending them was done: the extra margin on top-ups accounts for that in advance. On £100 a driver receives £130, against no-shows that in normal conditions cost them a good deal less.
How to build a fare that holds all of this together is set out on the Driver app page.
The commission comes off the prepaid credit as each job closes. The larger the top-up, the more credit for the same spend: the bonus is a discount on the commission in all but name, and it allows for the jobs that never happen.
The ones we actually get.
The only way to find out what it is worth is to run it.
There is no quote to request and no figure to negotiate. There is an operation to switch on, and if it does no jobs it costs nobody anything.
