Your operation, in their hands.
From phone bookings to app bookings.
Where the jobs come from and who sets the price
Phone calls
They reach the office as they do today and you send them to the driver’s app. You no longer need a radio system.
App bookings
The customer becomes yours: if they are not in your records they go in by themselves, your driver does the job, and the commission reaches you.
Rates
Every driver sets their own. But the operation’s customers get the operation’s rates: your customers, your prices.
Three steps, and the first job arrives.
Add the driver to a fleet
A driver can only get into the app if they belong to at least one operator. There is no signing up on their own: you decide who works with you, and their mobile number is enough.
Download UrbanGo Driver
They sign in with the same mobile number you used to add them. No registration and no waiting for approval: they are recognised, and that is it.
Set up, and away
They set up their profile, their working preferences and the vehicle. From then on jobs reach them, and the first one can arrive the same day.
How it works, in detailThey set their rates. Your tariff can become theirs.
And it is written down, not assumed.
Every driver sets their own day and night rates, and carries them wherever they work. On jobs you start you can apply your operation’s tariff, and the driver can adopt it as their own: the customer rang your number and you answered, so the price quoted on the phone has to be the price they are asked for.
We tell them before they join, in writing, and it is their decision. A condition stated in advance is a condition; found out on the first job it is a stitch-up, and a driver who feels stitched up does not come back.
What UrbanGo keeps
20% of an accepted job, paid by the driver and never by your operation. The first jobs of anyone joining are on us. Pricing and commission.
How a fare is built
Fuel, wear on the vehicle, insurance, the hours of work and the commission: they are all lines in the same price. We set it out for drivers here.
A driver who sets their own price does not leave over a few pence.
The apps keep more and let them decide nothing. That is why they go there reluctantly, and it is also why they come back, if they find somewhere they count for something.
