Invoicing
From the start every job carries whether the passenger pays in the car or whether it is to be charged to a customer. What the platform does not do, and has never done so far, is issue the document: it records that an account has been settled and the number of the invoice somebody else issued. The distinction is deliberate, because invoicing is not a detail of a dispatch system, it is a trade of its own with its own rules.
The module arrives now because now is when it weighs. With institutional contracts an operator finds itself with hundreds of jobs a month to reconcile, and while there are twenty of them it gets done by hand without anybody noticing. The data is already on the job and frozen there: who asked for it, what it was worth, which agreed price was applied. The module reads it, it does not ask for it to be typed again.
And it is a module per country, not a feature of the platform. An invoice is the most national thing there is: the numbering changes, the VAT treatment changes and the electronic filing obligations change, and one module claiming to serve four countries is four wrong modules. That is why it is turned on separately, and anybody who already has their own invoicing system does not pay for it.
